Webmail
Don't forget that you can access your emails from any computer connected to the internet via our webmail system.
Just open a browser like Internet Explorer and enter the address http://webmail.<your domain>. Do not put www. in front!
For example our webmail address is webmail.heywire.co.uk
Enter your full email address and password and away you go.
This way of accessing your email can be particularly useful if your normal method of getting your email doesn't seem to be working.
This can sometimes be cause by rogue spam with a date of 1st Jan 1970 on it. Just sort your emails in webmail by date,ascending and delete any with this date.

Yes its driving us all crazy and slowly grinding the internet to a standstill.
You can help yourself and us - and it needn't cost you anything! Ask us to turn off the "nobody" forwarder - when we set up your email we automatically include something called the "Nobody Forwarder". This catches all emails which are not already handled by the POP3 email boxes we have set up for you and forwards them usually to your main POP3 box.
Unfortunately spammers tend to guess at email addresses by putting anything in front of the @ part of your email address. If there is no "Nobody Forwarder" then any emails not precisely matching a designated POP3 box on your account will be rejected. This will have the effect of drastically reducing the amount of spam you receive. The down side is that it will reject emails where somebody has accidentally misspelled your name and there is no way of tracking what has been rejected. However it is FREE. If you want us to turn off your "Nobody Forwarder" please email us at support@heywire.co.uk. We will contact you if necessary to ensure that this action does not result in your receiving no emails!
Purchase our Anti-Spam Filter Option - this costs £15.00 + VAT per annum PER MAILBOX. It works at the server end of things so you never have to worry about it being kept up to date or maintained. We can set up an exclusion list to allow mail through from certain addresses whatever its content. However if you have a lot of mailboxes this could get expensive so you should consider installing your own anti-spam software as detailed below
